Well, I did it. I read a romance novel and completed it! This prompt from the TBR Jar did not defeat me. Another prompt is doing that. Before we dive into this review, please remember that I am not a romance reader. I do not enjoy romance novels, shows or movies. I can tolerate romance being a sub-plot but as the main plot, it just does not interest me. That being said, I think I still entered this with an open mind and gave it a fair rating. That’s right. Reading 50 books in a year apparently isn’t challenging enough. Or trying to read 5 books a month. I know, you’re all shaking your heads right now. I have finished my book club pick of the month, and my first book from my TBR Jar prompts. Hmm, I just had a thought. I always struggle to know which book to read after my book club picks. What if I went in the order of my prompts for June? Maybe I will, although this month, I’m glad I didn’t go in order because I believe my last prompt was a book that scares me.
