Dream Holidays

Like most of us, I have an idea for a holiday that I really want to take. However, because I love to travel, I have plenty of places that I would love to go to and things I want to do. So, today I want to share some of those with you because you know I want to blog about them too. Now, let’s talk about dream holidays that I want to take.

Raleigh, North Carolina – Planning

First up for dream holidays; Raleigh! I believe this is one that I have shared with you already. If I can swing it, this will also be successfully completed next year. The goal: fly out, rent a car and a Vrbo, and attend a few Carolina Hurricanes games. One of the other things I would like to do is drive to Charlotte and attend a service at Elevation Church. During the pandemic, I watched a lot of their online services. In looking up churches, I see they also have a Calvary Church, which I attend here, so that would be cool. The plan will be to stay in North Carolina for 2 weeks. I want to fly, instead of driving because I can spend more time out there. Though, a US road trip is on the agenda as well.

Hawaii – Dream Holidays

I know this is a common destination for people to visit, but I really do want to go and check this place out. Not for surfing, I would die. However, I would love to go snorkeling in Hawaii. I would love to go hiking along some of their beautiful trails. And food. I would love to try some of the fresh food out there. Flying is obviously the way to get out there, but I still need to see the difference in pricing between Vrbos and hotels. This trip I have not put as much thought into, yet, because it’s a lot further out of reach at the moment. So, right now it’s just one of the dream holidays on my list.

Scotland – Dream Holidays

Oh, beautiful Scotland. Did I ever tell you that I had an opportunity to go to Scotland? It was part of a charity. You donated money and got entered to win an experience. This one happened to be in Scotland, where you also got to go out for a “date” with actor Sam Heughan. Funny thing was, I didn’t even know who the actor was, but I was excited for Scotland. Alas, I did not get drawn, so I didn’t get to go. But, I donated to a good cause, so that’s a win. During this time, I did look at pictures of Scotland and fell in love. So, naturally, it got placed on my dream holidays list.

So Many Dream Holidays

Honestly, I could go on. I love to travel, and I wish I could do more. The dream is still to become a travel blogger, so anything is possible. To get started, I will blog about any trip I take. I am going to Calgary in a few weeks to visit family for Christmas, so I will blog while out there. I’m not sure how much excitement that will be, but it will get me into the mind set. To be clear, because I know some people reading this are thinking about the debt I have talked about, I won’t be stupid. I will save up for these trips and pay down a chunk of my debt before I go on any of these trips. If I do not have enough saved up or paid off, I won’t go. It’s that simple.

What about you? What are some of your dream holiday destinations? Let’s work towards those, together. Do you have an activity that you have always wanted to try? Do it. Let’s make our dreams start to come true in 2024. After all, anything can happen if we try.
