Welcome 2024

Happy New Year my friends. We did it. 2023, and all that it was, is behind us and now we are starting fresh with a brand new year. There is so much potential in front of us. Together, we can make 2024 the best year yet. I know that’s my plan. Of course, that’s my plan every year. To welcome 2024 let’s dive into our first blog of the year.

Looking Back

First, I do need to look back and see how far I have come. I started blogging at the end of January in 2023. My goal was to blog as a second job. Naturally, I got ahead of myself in my head and had grand ideas of what my life would look like now that I’m blogging. Needless to say, I got ahead of myself. I didn’t get a single paycheck last year. As disheartened as I am about that, I now see the big win in it. I stuck to it, even when it was hard. Usually, when my “side projects” get too difficult, I shelf them. This time I didn’t. That’s a huge win for me.

There were quite a few wins for me. I ran my first 10k, which is a step in the right direction to running my first marathon. I got to go to St. John’s with one of my best friends. And I got to go see my mom, dad and brother for Christmas. Those are some big wins for me.

Looking Forward

I’ve already shared some of my goals for this year, so I won’t get into those. However, I will share how I intend to stick to them this year. I bought myself a weekly planner. Today, when I woke up, I wrote my schedule for the week, my goals, today’s to do list, as well as a motivational quote I found. The part of the quote that stood out the most was the first part. “Give yourself credit for what you’re doing right.” The quote was from Lara Honos and it was towards people with ADD and ADHD. That hit me because I always focus on where I have “failed” and never on what I’m doing right. I want to change that this year.

Welcome 2024 – Something New

There are some things I want to do differently when it comes to my work from home jobs. Arbonne and blogging both didn’t make me any money last year. This year, I’m going to put in a lot more effort. For those of you reading this who are cringing because you think I’m going to come after you to try and sell Arbonne, calm down. That is not what I meant. I’m going to be a lot more diligent about showing how the products are benefiting me. Last year I said I would write product review blogs and I think I only wrote one. That changes this year.

In regard to my blogs, I fully intend to post something every day. Not blogs. I don’t have that kind of time, unfortunately. No, I’m talking about social media. I’ll continue to post my blogs on blog day, but in between I want to share stories. My blog is titled Life With Stephanie, so why not make my social media match that? Those stories will contain videos or pictures of my cats, food, workouts, and just everyday things.

Welcome 2024

This year is full of so much hope for me. Hope to reach dreams, complete goals, and see a reward for my efforts. There is so much I want to do and accomplish this year and I’m so excited to take you all along with me. What about you? What are some of your hopes and dreams for the new year? Is it a career change? Maybe you want to grow your family? Or perhaps meet someone to start a family with. I bet some of you want to travel and go on adventures. Let’s do this together. Welcome 2024, where anything can happen if we try.
