Waiting for Warm Weather

I don’t know about my other fellow Manitobans, but I am ready for winter to be over and for the warm weather to come out. I’m missing the sunshine, being outside, and there is so much I want to do this year. However, I’m a baby when it comes to the cold, so I’m waiting for warm weather.

Waiting is Hard

I think the thing that makes this the hardest is that I live where I work. Not exactly the working from home dream that I had. Because of this, I rarely leave the hotel. It’s causing me to go a bit stir crazy. Enough that I don’t do a main grocery haul, I just go when I need something for a recipe. This gets me out a few times, but it’s also not very ideal. If I don’t have time to go get ingredients, I don’t make food, which is bad for my 75 soft challenge. When it gets nice, I can go for walks, go jogging, or even just sit outside and read a book. So, I’m waiting for warm weather.

What I Want to Do

Like I said, there is a lot I want to do. I mentioned some just now. Jogging on a treadmill is boring, so I can’t wait to go jogging outside. Going for walks with friends to grab coffee or bubble tea is also something I miss. There are hiking trails I want to explore as well. Now, to be clear, I don’t mean I’m waiting for summer to get this all in. Even a nice spring day is perfect for these activities. Plus, it will be great for my 75 soft exercise. Workout videos on YouTube are great, but not as great as getting outside and being active while having fun.

Waiting for Warm Weather

Don’t get me wrong. I am not just sitting around and waiting, wasting time. There are still things that I’m doing in the waiting. As I mentioned last week, I’m looking for a second job. No luck yet, but I’ll keep you posted. While I do that, I’m thinking of different ways to get more hours at the hotel to help increase my paychecks. Then I’ve got my 75 soft challenge that keeps me quite busy, plus I joined a push up challenge. I can’t wait till I can do proper push-ups. Years ago I did a shorter push-up challenge. You may have heard of it. 22 push-ups for 22 days. One day I did 15 proper push-ups before going down to my knees! I seem to have lost all that strength since then. And on top of all that, I’ve got my blogs and my novels. So, as you can see, I’m staying busy.

Are You Waiting for Warm Weather

What about you? Do you like winter and the colder weather? Or, like me, are you counting down the days till it starts warming up? Perhaps you have been in warmer weather and you’re now approaching your winter. Are you looking forward to that? What kinds of things do you like to do when the weather gets warmer? I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment. Let’s start a conversation and inspire each other to get outside and enjoy the sunshine this year. Anything can happen if we try.
