Well, as you can tell by the title of this blog, things are not as planned this week. Come to think of it, this entire month has gone wrong. Some things are just life, but others are my fault. Let me explain.
Moving
The plan was to be moved out, have the apartment cleaned, and be completely done with everything by the middle of the month. Well, as you know, that did not go as planned. Mostly, my fault. I was procrastinating a lot. I want to say my work schedule had a play in things as well, but let’s be honest here. I’m the one that makes the schedule and the night shifts were not a surprise. The only thing that was not in my control with this was the fact that there were some days I was told I would have help, and then it didn’t work out.
Getting Sick – Missing Jets Game
Obviously getting sick was not a part of the plan. This ruined another plan; going to the Jets game last night. My friend and I were both disappointed that I couldn’t go, but it was for the best. My fever returned and I felt like I was going to pass out while doing the night audit last night. If I had gone to the game, I would have felt worse. So, not as planned, but for the best.
Living not as planned
Of course living in a hotel was not what I would call living as planned. I wanted to find my own place, but it was not to be. I know that I’ll be thankful for this time to save money, pay off debt and have the freedom to find the right place without the pressure of finding one at the end of a lease. So, not as planned, but again, for the best.
Not as Planned, but Not all Bad
Just because things are not going as planned does not mean it’s all bad. These are, in a way, blessings in disguise. I can use the lessons I’ve learned, and the time I have, to better myself. As anyone who follows my blog knows, I’m confident that I have ADHD. I can now use this time to learn to focus better, motivate myself, and get back on track with other areas of my life. So, not as planned is not all bad. Because as we know, anything can happen if we try.
