Getting Back to 75 Soft

And just like that it’s Friday. Time for another update on 75 Soft. As with all my fitness challenges this one has been a bit rocky. However, this week I was really focused on getting back on track. It wasn’t easy, and we are not fully there, but let me share how I’ve been working on getting back to 75 Soft.

Getting Back to Working Out

This one has been a lot easier to get back on track with. I have 2 days of the week where I work out with other people, so that helps me stay accountable there. And, everyday I do a few push-ups as part of the push up challenge that I joined. We are doing push-ups every day for an entire year. This week I focused on finding workouts that I think are fun. After all, if I look forward to doing a workout, I’m a lot more likely to do it. I also have some ideas of workouts that I want to try, but we will see if I get to those.

Food and Water

This is the area I am still struggling with. It has been quite a while since I drank my 3 litres a day. I’m trying, but just keep forgetting to drink water, or I’m napping for long periods throughout the day so I don’t drink as much. In the area of food, I want to eat healthy, but lately I just crave junk food all the time. So, we have had some fast food recently and I’m not proud of it. Sometimes it’s easier to spend $20 on a fast food meal than $200 on groceries. I will make a better effort in this area this week. In fact, to put extra pressure on myself, I will announce in my next update that I have succeeded in this area.

Getting Back to Reading

This has not been that much of a struggle, other than the fact that I have not been enjoying my book at all. I won’t get too much into this because that will come with the book review. That might come sooner than expected. Because I just want to get the book over with, I’m reading more than 10 pages worth. So, reading has been on track this week.

Prayer

I am proud to say that praying daily has been the one thing that has never wavered. This makes me happy as I really wanted to grow my prayer life with this challenge. Some days I pray more than others, but I have been consistent with praying for others or myself and my situations. That’s a huge win for me and I pray that it stays consistent for the remainder of the challenge and beyond. I’m really excited to see what’s going to come from my prayer growth journey.

Staying on Track With 75 Soft

Now the goal is to stay on track with 75 Soft for the remainder of the challenge. I know that you guys want those updates and I want to see some change in my progress photos from day 1 to day 75. Do I expect huge changes? No. I’m not being that strict with my diet, and sometimes my workouts are simply a 20 minute yoga stretch. And that’s okay. A good yoga stretch sounds great for today actually. I’m feeling tight and sore. And there is a lot to do at the hotel this weekend as I will be preparing and cooking a few Hawaii inspired meals for our special Island Getaway weekend. Hopefully everything turns out and the guests enjoy the meals.

Your Turn

How are your fitness goals going? Are you still on track, or struggling as well? What motivates you to workout on a regular basis? Have you set some fitness and health goals? No? Why not? The more we take care of ourselves, the better things will be. I have a friend who said she’s starting to feel achy all the time, so she wants to get back to working out to feel better. So, we workout together once a week. Maybe you have a friend who can join and motivate you. Let’s work on our health and fitness together, and reach our goals. After all, anything can happen if we try.
