New Challenges

So, I didn’t make any new year’s resolutions this year, but I did make some goals. There are a few new challenges and some second attempts that I want to do this year. So, buckle up, and let’s discuss some of those challenges, shall we?

New Challenges – Reading

Well, to my great dismay, I did not read 50 books last year. I did read 32, which isn’t terrible. However, as soon as I found fan fiction, other books definitely took a back seat to everything. And now I’m also writing fan fiction this year. So, naturally, making my reading goal to be 100 books was not going to happen. So, I reset my goal and I’m going to be trying for 50 books again this year. As I did last year, I’ll write reviews on all the books I read this year.

Health and Fitness

Obviously I want to look my best for my wedding this year. So, there are a few health and fitness challenges that I’ll be working on throughout the year. And, even more encouragingly, my fiance has offered to do some of the challenges with me. What a sweetheart. He’s in for quite the adventure, but that’s one of the things I love about him. I’ll be blogging about those as I go through them, or at the end to let you know how things went.

New Challenges – Writing

I’m not sure if I’ll get to do all that I want with this area. As I mentioned in the last blog, I know I won’t be able to publish this year. However, I’m wanting to take the next steps with writing. And that means I want to sign up for some classes to help me improve. However, that does cost money and that is a bit low at the moment. I will work to grow as much as I can, but I do know that taking some classes will help. So, if I can get to that this year, that will be exciting. But, we’ll see what happens.

Debt

So, I didn’t get a second debt paid off last year like I was hoping to. Which means I have a bit more work to do this year. However, as much as I want to save up for the wedding, I will also be throwing money at my debt this year. Entering a marriage drowning in debt is not what I want to do. So, let’s see how that goes for me, shall we. I’m doing the best I can, but I know that I still have a long ways to go.

What About You

What about you? Are you tackling any fun or not so fun challenges this year? What are they? Did you set goals for yourself? Are you someone who likes to make New Year’s Resolutions? If so, what are they. I really would love to hear from you. Maybe we can tackle these things together and make the chance of success even higher for all of us. After all, anything can happen if we try.
