Improvement

Time for our weekly update. I know it’s really close to the last one….if I publish this Monday like I planned. However, I am trying to get back on track with my blogging and I have some announcements to make this time. I’m asking all of you to hold me accountable, okay? Now, let me talk about how this last week was an improvement, and then let you know the goals for this week. Shall we dive in?

Goals Improvement

You guys! I did so good on my goals this last week. Okay, so I didn’t complete all of them, but a huge improvement from the first week. I did not get a second blog out like I wanted to last week. I was close, you guys. But I didn’t quite finish my book. However, I got a lot of reading done. There were days that I missed, but then there were days where I read more than one chapter, so it all balanced out in the end. I will certainly finish the book this week. And I’m happy to announce that I got my two workouts in. So, I would call that an improvement, wouldn’t you?

New Goals

Okay, so for this week I am going to challenge myself a bit more. I’m not trying to set myself up for failure this week. Let’s just throw that out there. In no way is that my intention. Some of these loop back to the announcements that I teased earlier. So, for this week I’m going to stick with the same goals of writing two blogs, reading everyday and getting in two workouts. Let’s try and get these solidified in my schedule. What I’m adding. I want to brush my cats everyday for about half an hour. Not per cat, but in total. Their coats are shedding like crazy right now and I’d like to get rid of it as much as I can. The next thing is a writing goal. I want to either get another chapter posted for my fan fiction, or work on a chapter of my novel. My beta reader was asking for it.

Hope for Continued Improvement

So, obviously the hope is that we continue to see improvement as time goes by. The thing that is, hopefully, going to motivate me to workout regularly is a challenge I issued to my friend. That by July we would do a Caroline Girvin workout. For those who don’t know, she’s a fitness trainer from, I believe it’s Ireland. And she has intense workouts. The girl is ripped and it can be intimidating just looking at her. But, she is friendly and kind in her videos, so that’s awesome. But, if I have a hope of doing her videos, I am going to have to workout a lot more regularly than once a week. With reading, hopefully as I continue to read, I’ll find a book to get me out of my reading slump.

Announcement

Okay, I have two goals that I know I won’t get done this week. However, I do have deadlines for them and I need your guys help. I am going for my editing courses this year. The goal is to sign up for and start on the first one before the end of May. I found a site where I can be a freelance editor, but I need my courses first. For this reason, I want to get my courses started so that I can properly offer my services and start my career as an editor. Don’t worry, I still want to publish my own works. Which, is why I have a second long goal. I want to have the second draft of my book finished before I get married. My wedding date is November 1st of this year. That means I have a few months to get this done. Which means, buckling down.

Improvement With Your Help

This is where you, my loyal readers, come in. I need all the encouragement and butt kicking I can get. So please, send me messages on social media, ask for updates in the comments, send your encouraging thoughts. I really do need all the help I can get with this. To be honest, I’m terrified that it won’t do well; that I won’t do well. But, there is a little voice that keeps saying, but what if you do? So, with that voice, and some friends and my fiance, cheering me on, as well as all of you – I can do this. Because we know that anything can happen if we try.
