Food and Fitness Goals

Can you believe it’s almost November? Time flies and before you know it, we will be in the year 2024. I know it’s early, but I’ve already been thinking about what I want my journey with food and fitness to look like. There has been a bit of a hiccup already, but I still have time to work out all the kinks. Let me tell you about my food and fitness goals for the year 2024.

Food and Fitness Hiccup

I won’t go into too much detail about it just yet. What I will tell you is I found a site that has lots of different workout programs for people to try. The best part about it; it’s free! Okay, mostly free. If you want access to absolutely everything there is a cost, but I plan on just using the free section, which is the fitness part. Food will look different, but more on that later. So, what’s the hiccup? My original plan was to focus on one program a month and go through all of them like that. However, I calculated it and it would take me 15 YEARS to complete all of them at that rate. I don’t think I’ll be doing some of those when I’m in my 50s, but I guess you never know.

Fitness

With that new knowledge in my back pocket, I will revamp it. Perhaps just randomly pull one out of a hat, like I was going to do this year. My one concern is that in order to follow some of those programs, I’ll need to either get a gym membership, or find ways to modify the exercise. I suppose I have time to figure out what that will look like. If it was simply cardio, I could use the small gym at the hotel where I live, but lots of them include weights that I don’t have. So, we’ll see what happens with the fitness aspect of that.

Food

Now, the website I’m wanting to use does touch a bit on food. There is the odd one that I’ve looked at that has a bit of a meal plan, but I know me. I’m not going to eat the same thing for a month straight. With that, I might try to follow the meal plans that are on my BetterMe App. My concern there: I might not have the food to match the fitness. I can adapt them, I know that. I also will make sure I’m getting enough food to fuel my workouts, plus use my Arbonne protein powder.

Add Ons

On top of all this, I do plan to train for the Manitoba Marathon, 10k race as well. This year, I’ll make sure that I’m stretching plenty. Some of the workouts include lots of yoga, so that right there will be a nice benefit. My ankle still hasn’t fully healed from whatever I did to it this summer, so perhaps I’ll focus on healing that during December, so I can dive into my food and fitness challenges in January. I do plan to go and chat with the gym I used to have a membership at, just to see prices, and talk to them about my challenge to see if they can help out.

Excitement

Honestly, I’m super nervous about the challenge, but also super excited. As I look through the different programs, I have found a few that I’m very eager to try. And, to give myself even more accountability, I will be keeping you updated weekly, not monthly. And, if I get a gym membership, I’ll want to make sure I’m not wasting my money, so I’ll need to make sure I’m going and getting my money’s worth. Nothing is set in stone, just yet. However, I do have two months to figure it all out. So, I’ll let you know what comes out of the brainstorming and everything else.

Other Goals

I have more than food and fitness goals. I obviously want to pay off my debt, and cancel one of my credit cards as soon as I can. No one wants to live in a hotel forever, so I’m hoping to find a place that is in my budget, doesn’t look like a dump, and is pet friendly. There are blogging goals, travel goals, and I’m honestly hoping that everything kind of just flows together. I guess we will all just see what happens. Then there is my publishing goal. So, I guess you could say I have a lot of goals. I hope you all follow along to see, or help, me reach my goals. Anything can happen, if I try.
