Yes, I went back to Destination Dinner Stage. However, this time was more fun because it was my boss’ treat. The owners of the hotel took the staff that wanted to go as a late Christmas party. And, seeing as I’m a huge fan, I can certainly say I approve. But that doesn’t mean I won’t do a review on my experience, the food, and the show. So, let me tell you about Happy Daze Again.
Happy Daze Again Menu

As always, let’s talk about the food first. We started off with a soup instead of a salad this time. It was a potato leek soup. And it was delicious. The entree options were Fonzie’s Mac Attack, Mrs. Cunningham Meatloaf Special, Joanies Chicken Piccata, and Arnold’s Fried Shrimp N Chips. I chose the Chicken Piccata and found that my chicken was cooked perfectly. This was served with herb seasoned roasted potatoes and green beans almondine. After this the dessert options were Drive-on Diner Strawberry Shortcake or Seasonal Fresh Fruit. I went with the Strawberry Shortcake and definitely did not regret it.
Happy Daze Again Service

The staff were their usual friendly selves. As I went with a large group, we did find that the service felt slow and we noticed that there were some tables being cleared before we had even received our food. After the show, I did go and ask one of the staff if they could take a picture of our group on the stage, as you see in the feature photo. The woman that I asked was someone I had spoken to before, so while we waited for my group to join us, we started chatting. What I found really cool is that she met her husband through dinner theatre, her brother in law was working at the sound booth and her daughter was in the show. So, even though we had to wait a long time for our food and drinks, the friendly atmosphere made it a great experience.
Happy Daze Again Show
The show was so much fun. The banter was hilarious, the story was fun, and the music had lots of us singing along. The costumes were great and the actors were so good at their roles. As usual the show took the original TV show and threw a fun twist into it. I heard lots of people say that it was unexpected, but fun at the same time. We laughed, we sang along, clapped our hands and enjoyed a great time.

Overall Experience
Overall, I had a great time. I was in a great company and even talked a bit with the table next to us. Some of my group wasn’t as impressed with the food and wait times, but everyone agreed that the show was a blast. Would I recommend going to this show? Absolutely. I think if you go with the right group of people, you will have a blast. So, if you’re in the Winnipeg area, and you like dinner theatre or want to give it a try, definitely check out Destination Dinner Stage.
