For Christmas, Destination Dinner Stage put on their rendition of a favourite Christmas movie; Die Hard. Now, I know there is a dispute on whether this should be classified as a Christmas movie or not. That’s not what this blog is going to cover. No, I’m going to talk about my thoughts and experiences watching Destination Dinner Stage’s show. So, with that out of the way, let me tell you about Die Harder.
Die Harder Menu
This time it was different. Instead of pre-ordering our dinner when we got the tickets, our order was taken when we got to the table. As usual, there was a starter, an entree and dessert. The starter was a Christmas Eve Caesar Salad. For the entree you had your choice of vegetarian, beef, chicken or fish. My husband went with the chicken and I went with the fish. The dish was called Holly’s Orange Ember Trout. It was quite delicious and the piece of fish I had was a good size too. It was served with mashed potatoes and carrots. And the dessert, oh it was delicious. Pumpkin Latte Cake! They outdid themselves with this dessert.

Die Harder Service
As usual, the service was great. The servers worked hard to make sure that we always had a drink, and that we got our food as quickly as possible. They were polite and we were served with a smile. The cast really tried to make us feel like we were included and came to visit with the diners and chat with them. It was quite entertaining. And it made the experience more immersive.
Die Harder Show

This show was, hands down, the funniest that they have put on. Now, I missed Grease, but of the ones I have seen, this was the funniest. And oh so cheesy. There were some moments of the show that had the audience laughing so hard we were wiping tears. The characters were lovable and hilarious. The punch lines were fantastic and witty. They even used some fan favourites from the Die Hard movie. It was fun, the songs were catchy, and it was a great show to have as the last show of the year.
Overall
It was a great show, a great experience, and I give it a 5 star rating. I highly recommend going to a show at Destination Dinner Stage. You really do get what you pay for. And it’s such a fun idea for a birthday outing, date night, or a fun night out with friends. You get delicious food, great drinks, and are entertained with a live show. It doesn’t get better than that. So, if you’re looking for something fun to do with friends or family, get your tickets to this show before the end of December, or wait for the next show at the end of January. It’s worth it. Trust me.
