As you have most likely noticed, my blogs are all over the place. I don’t really have a niche right at this moment. I want to have one, so that I know what kind of audience to target. Perhaps I can target a larger audience, but at the same time, it can dissuade people from returning. I have blog dreams though, things I would love to put here. I’ll share some of those with you and let’s see what happens, shall we?
Travel
This is no surprise. It is something that I have shared a lot on here. I really did enjoy doing my travel blog series on Newfoundland. That was a lot of fun and I want to do more. I do have another one planned, but that won’t happen till next year. Maybe I can plan some mini trips and blog about those while I save up for the next big one. However, being a travel blogger has always been the goal. I really wanted to find a way to get paid for travelling. That dream will never go away, even if it does get overshadowed by other dreams.
Reviews
This one may surprise you because I have not done a lot. I was playing with the idea of making today’s blog a review on some of the shows I’ve been binge watching, but changed my mind. See, when I “binge” a TV show, I don’t necessarily watch them in order. I read what the episodes are about and pick the ones I think sound the most interesting. Or, if I’m re-watching a show, then I just pick my favourite episodes. For example, I decided to check out Big Sky, but I started with the last episode of season 2. Why? Simple, that’s when Jensen Ackles joined the show. So, I’m not sure what I’ll do with these blogs.
Interviews
This dream is a bit newer. It only started after the blog was a few months in. The original idea started with me interviewing small business owners to help bring attention to their businesses. Then, in one of my last blogs, I mentioned interviewing celebrities. I have no idea what I would interview celebrities about, but I do think it would be fun. Maybe that will be something that is more for my YouTube channel, but it may also just remain a dream, and never be fulfilled. Don’t get me wrong, bringing attention to small businesses is a really good idea, and I still plan to do that. I just love to dream big.
stories
This one I’ve actually started. As many of you know, unless this is the first blog you’re reading, I want to become a published author. One of the ways I can get my name out there, and see if people enjoy my stories, is to start putting fiction content out there for all to see. Thus, I have started “Short Story Saturdays” where I will post a chapter or two each week of a novel. I will be the first to admit, posting for the first time last Saturday was the most terrifying thing ever. But, if it helps me sell books later, then it will be worth it. One dream I want to share about that; I would love for a book I write to be made into a movie. That would be amazing.
never stop
I don’t think I will ever stop dreaming. There are dreams I’m working towards that are in the distant future, and I’m not ready to share them just yet. As things start to fall into place, I will certainly share those with you. And if anyone reading this knows a celebrity who would let me interview them, please let them know. I know, it’s a shot in the dark, but hey, what do I always say? Anything can happen if you try.
