Hope

word hope spelled out on an envelope

Hello to you all. Can you believe that October is almost over? This year has just flown by. Before we know it we will be saying happy new year and welcoming in 2024. That also means, at the end of January, I’ll have been blogging for a year. It’s hard to grasp that I’ve been blogging for that long. So, I want to share what I hope to accomplish before that happens. Let’s go.

Subscribers

My subscribers have been slowly climbing over the year. The last time I looked, I was at 63 subscribers. My mind is blown. My hope, for the end of the year, is to reach 100 subscribers. I’m not sure if this is realistic, but I am hopeful. This would also help me to grow in other areas as well. More on that in a second. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure how I got those subscribers. I have some people who have subscribed to emails, but these subscribers signed up differently. Perhaps I can get one of my web design friends to help me figure that out one day.

Get Paid

As I’ve mentioned in a past blog, I have partnered with Google Ads. I’m sure many of you have seen the ads on my site while reading blogs. The way that Google Ads works is they only pay you once you have reached a certain threshold. Mine is $100. You guys, I’m so close, and yet so far. I would love to get my first paycheck before the end of the year. I really hope that comes true. Starting up, I knew that this was going to be a long road, not a get rich quick scheme. I guess I was just hoping for it to go a bit faster. However, I won’t give up. I’ll keep writing blogs, as long as you guys keep reading them.

Prepare

My biggest hope for next year is to start a crazy fitness journey. The main difference with how I will blog about it is how often I will blog about it. Instead of giving you an update once a month, I will be updating you once a week. My hope with this is the extra accountability. The goal will also be to update through daily stories and posts on my social media accounts. Because this will be blog related, I won’t post on my personal socials, but only on the blog socials. So, I hope to be prepared for that challenge. I’m both super excited and extremely nervous.

Social Media

That brings me to the next hope. I hope to grow my followers on social media as well. This will also help me to grow my blog, and possibly get paid a bit more consistently with Google Ads. I won’t get to do it this year, but I’m hoping that I’ll have a big enough following next year to do a giveaway at Christmas time. Still not sure what kind of giveaway I would do, but I have some ideas cooking. Hopefully this will also increase engagement in the posts as well. I would love to build an encouraging community out of this.

Hopeful

So, those are the things that I am hopeful for. Well, some of them at least. I really want to get to a place where I can spend a lot more time blogging. Travel blogs, experience blogs, and more. I had hoped to publish a book this year, but that won’t happen. There has not been a lot of time for that. Perhaps I can jump back on that dream next year. I just need to figure out how to schedule my time a bit better. So, until then, I’ll keep hoping. After all, anything can happen if I try.
