August – A Failed Month

August failure

Well, here it is. We are in September and it’s time to update you all on my fitness journey. I’m sure you can tell based on the title, but August was not a good month. I did absolutely no exercise, and I ate a lot of junk. With that out of the way, let’s talk about August and what went wrong.

The August Plan

This is probably the biggest thing that went wrong. There was no plan. No exercise plan. No diet plan. I entered August with no goals when it came to my fitness journey. I’m not exactly sure what happened at the end of July, but the fight just left. I had no desire to workout, or watch what I was eating. My thoughts were on everything else. My roommate was moving at the beginning of September, how to make my blogs better, what kind of videos did I want to make for my YouTube channel. On top of that, I was working a lot of hours at the hotel. The last thing I wanted to do when I came home was workout.

Was August a Complete Fail?

When it comes to my fitness journey, I have nothing to fall back on as a win. The most active thing I did was go on one walk with two of my close friends, and run around doing different tasks at the hotel. I usually have something positive to share regarding my fitness journey each month, but you guys, I dropped the ball. Plain and simple. I have no excuse. Sure, I was busy, but I’m only getting busier. I can’t use that as an excuse forever.

Try, Try, and Try Again

Don’t worry, this is not the end. The only end will be this is going to be my last blog about my fitness journey. The rest will be shared on my YouTube channel when that launches. And let me tell you, it’s good accountability when you know you need to film your workouts and food for content. And this month, I have a plan. Well, for workouts. Not so much food, but more on that when the channel launches.

I’m Sorry

I was really hoping that by now I would be posting encouraging blogs regarding my fitness journey. Instead, I’m still saying, “hey guys, I did it again.” Not the kind of blogs you want to read, so I’m sorry about that. The good news is that I’m excited for the ones that are going to be coming your way soon. The story will continue every Saturday. Knowing that every Saturday I know exactly what I’m working on, it really helps. Perhaps I can make another theme for Mondays or Wednesdays. Only time will tell. August was a rough month, but I have high hopes for the future. After all, anything can happen if we try.
