Sorry I went AWOL. It was unintentional. I have been having some problems with my site, so let’s see if I can get this one posted. I’ll catch you up on things you’ve missed and what to look forward to this year. 2025 is going to be a great year. I can feel it.
2024 Catchup
Okay, so what did you all miss in 2024. Well, the biggest announcement is that I am now ENGAGED! What! I know, crazy. But I know that marrying this guy is going to be one of the best decisions I have ever made, so you can say I’m excited about it. Christmas came and went. I joined a fan fiction site and have started writing my first fan fiction. Only 6 chapters in and I already have some loyal followers, so that’s exciting. It also gets me a bit more confident with my story writing. So, that leads me to telling you about 2025.
2025 Wedding Planning
So, obviously I am planning my wedding. My fiance and I are, thankfully, both pretty chill about the whole thing. Neither of us are really stressing too much as we want to just enjoy the planning and the actual wedding day. So, as long as my site behaves, I’ll be sharing a bit of that journey along the way. I’ve got my maid of honour and bridesmaids picked out, and they have all said yes to being a part of the big day. It’s honestly going to be a great day and I’m looking forward to spending it surrounded by people who love and support Fern and I.
Getting Back to Blogging
So, as long as everything goes smoothly and my site behaves, I’m going to try my best to get things back on track with blogging. Obviously falling off track with things was not the plan. And then my site not working when I was trying to get back on track didn’t help anything. Hopefully all the kinks are worked out. And I just need to renew all my stuff to keep going. Which reminds me that I need to put money onto my credit card. But yes, I do want to get back to a regular blogging schedule.
2025 Writing
So, like I mentioned, I started writing fan fiction. And I’m absolutely loving it. But I know I can’t make money from that. If I want to make money writing, I’ve got to work for it. Which means that I really need to get to work on the second draft of my first novel. The sooner I get through all the drafts, the sooner I can move forward with publishing. As I learn more about what is all involved in publishing a book (thank you authors who share their journey on YouTube) I have come to realise that I will in no way get my book published this year. Not only with all the work that still needs to go into it, but cost wise. We all know weddings are not cheap. So, I plan to keep you all posted on that journey as well.
Wrapping This Up
So, that’s about it for now. I will hopefully get all the bugs worked out and all the payments made on time so that there are no more interruptions to my blogging. And I do want to grow in self discipline this year, so getting back to a regular blogging schedule is a must. So, for now, Happy New Year! I hope this year is filled with amazing things for all of us. And we all know that anything can happen if we try.
